Bar soap is made by combining oils (fats) with an alkaline solution (sodium hydroxide and water), which when combined react and create sodium salts of each oil in the mixture.

Jessi's Handmade bar soaps are made scratch, using food grade vegetable oils, cosmetic butters, sodium hydroxide, and high quality essential oils and fragrances. We let our soaps sit, or cure, for at least one full month before selling them. This allows time for water to evaporate, leaving a harder bar that will last longer in the tub, sink, or shower. Our products do not contain animal ingredients.
